Brass elbow 2-fold female thread
The brass elbows designed for the sanitary and heating sector can also be found in plant construction, industry or in high-quality irrigation systems. The brass elbow 2-fold female thread is made of a zinc-copper alloy and is equally suitable for hot and cold water. The brass bend 2 inch 90 Gard DN 50 is ideal for extending or converting water pipes, as the flow of water is slowed down much less than with a brass elbow, for example, due to the shape of the bend.
The 1 inch 90 degree DN 25 brass elbow is ideal for garden installations, as many systems are designed for 1 inch. The metric conversion of 1 inch corresponds to approx. 33.25 mm, so you can easily estimate whether your system is this size.
A size unit smaller than 0.75 inch or 3/4 inch is also very common in irrigation or in your domestic water system, but is also used for air conditioning and heating pipes.
For larger systems, the sizes 5/4 inch or 1 1/4" inch or 6/4 inch and 1 1/2" inch are also used. All brass elbows with 2 female threads are rustproof and corrosion-resistant, but cannot be used for salt water or water containing chlorine.
Metal threaded fittings have a BSP pipe thread G DIN 2999 & BS21, ISO 228/1 & ISO 7/1, which is not self-sealing and is sealed with Teflon tape or hemp. This ensures a successful seal between the conical external thread and the parallel internal thread.
