Use of PVC-U cleaner
Release agents are used in the manufacture of fittings. These and other greasy environmental influences or residues are safely removed by PVC-U Cleaner. PVC-U Cleaner dissolves the surface structure of the PVC-U fitting to a certain extent, which leads to optimum adhesion of the PVC-U adhesive. PVC-U Cleaner is a solvent mixture and has an infinite shelf life. It evaporates if the container is not closed.

Use of PVC-U adhesive
Gluing PVC-U pipe and fittings is actually the wrong term, as the process is cold welding. After final curing, the pipe, adhesive and socket form a firmly bonded unit and, if carried out correctly, the joint has the same quality characteristics as the rest of the PVC-U pipe system. Once the adhesive has cured, no chemical substances are released into the pipe system. The bonded joint can no longer be removed and can only be destroyed mechanically. PVC-U adhesive can be stored unopened in its original container for at least 24 months - theoretically indefinitely. However, as a minimal exchange of oxygen takes place even in the unopened original container, the adhesive will thicken over time. This process is "accelerated" when the container is opened. Viscous adhesive that is no longer spreadable and can no longer be applied with a brush should no longer be used. Do not dilute with cleaner! Minimum ambient temperature for bonding work: + 5°C.
